This will be mine.

There are things that you miss out on as a collector simply because you weren’t in the hobby at the time, it predates your existence, and you never were even aware of it. So I’m thrilled to see DC slowly digging into their “tabloid” edition books from the archive and coming up with a second one to bring out, one that I’ve really wanted. Set for a December 7th, 2021 arrival, they’ve now got a hardcover tabloid edition of the Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes book coming out.

It’ll be $39.99 for this 80-page story from Paul Levitz and Mike Grell that originally came out back in 1978. It’s set for a 10″ x 13.5″ size and looks to replicate the same cover design for it as you can see to the right.

Includes a 2-page pin-up of the entire Legion by Mike Grell and an 8-page feature containing information on each of the legionnaires by Paul Levitz, illustrated by James Sherman and Jack Abel.

Plot Concept: Superboy arrives in the future for the wedding of Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad only to find a world totally different from the one he is used to visiting. The future is now an armed camp and the Legionnaires insist it has always been that way. With Superboy unable to convince his teammates that something is wrong, the wedding proceeds as planned, only to have the bride and groom kidnapped by the Lunarites. Convinced that the altering of history is the real issue, Superboy leads a group of legionnaires back in time, while the rest of the group attempts to rescue their teammates. Can Superboy’s team correct the flow of time and save all the future?
