The summer 2018 anime series How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord saw its home video release handled by Avex Pictures and they set a short schedule for it and now with the new spring 2021 season. The twelve-episode series is set for a three-volume run on Blu-ray only where they’re priced at 9,900 yen each – which is cheaper than the 14,000 yen of the first season. The series begins its release on June 25th, 2021 and we have a look at the first cover artwork for it already. Check out the full details below.

The show was directed by Yuta Murano based on the series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Shizue Kaneko worked on the character design while Yuki Nishioka served as the chief animation director with Ajiado handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Azumi Waki as Rem Galleu, Yu Serizawa as Shera L. Greenwood, Masaaki Mizunaka as Diablo, Yumi Hara as Alicia Crystella, Rumi Okubo as Sylvie, Emiri Katō as Edelgard, Atsumi Tanezaki as Klem, Sayaka Senbongi as Celestine Baudelaire, and Yūka Morishima as Mei.
The light novels began in 2014 from Yukiya Murasaki and have nine volumes out as of this writing. The first novel got a digital release from J-Novel Club last month and Seven Seas Entertainment has plans for the manga.

Plot Concept: In the MMORPG Cross Reverie, Takuma Sakamoto is so powerful that he is lauded as the “Demon Lord” by other players. One day, he is summoned to another world – but with the same appearance he had in the game! There, he meets two girls who both proclaim themselves to be his Summoner. They had performed an Enslavement Ritual to turn him into their Summon… but that’s when Takuma’s passive ability <> activated! Instead, it was the girls who had become enslaved! Though Takuma may have been the strongest Sorcerer there was, he had no idea how to talk with other people. That’s when he makes his choice: to act based on his persona from the game!

So begins a tale of adventure with an earth-shakingly powerful Demon Lord (or at least someone who acts like one) taking on another world!
