Macross YouTube Channel Opens To Overseas Viewers

2 min read

One of the things that has long been frustrating when it comes to certain properties like Macross is that they were indeed sticklers for region-coding their videos on YouTube and not putting much up on Twitter that wouldn’t be from YouTube. So you really didn’t have too much of an easy opportunity to check out and share things from various properties under the banner over the years.

With the changes overnight with Big West and Harmony Gold coming to a new understanding and plans to get going with more worldwide attention, one of the first visible changes has come through as some of the Macross YouTube channel is now visible to overseas viewers. And some is probably too generous, but we’re hopeful that it’s just something that they’re starting with and will expand with over time.

At the moment, the main video of interest is the one below where it’s the 3D Live Tour 2021 for the Macross F property. It’s a 24-minute piece and obviously just in Japanese with no subtitles as it was put to their channel two months ago. But it’s incredibly heartening to those of us who have long wanted just to be able to have good clean videos of these things to check out.

Here’s looking forward to more of what the channel will offer as time goes on.
