A new TV anime adaptation was announced in August 2020 with Peach Boy Riverside getting a July 2021 slot. We got a lot of information at the time and a good update recently that fleshed out more of the cast and gave us a visual. Now, the official site has updated to reveal that Haruka Tomatsu has joined the project as Winny and have provided a voiceover sample as well.
The anime adaptation will be directed by Shiguri Ueda based on the scripts supervised by Keiichiro Ochi. Satomi Kurita and Masato Katou are working on the character designs with Asahi Production working on the animation.
The lead cast includes:
- Haruka Shiraishi as Sally
- Nao Tōyama as Mikoto
- M.A.O as Frau
- Toshiki Masuda as Hawthorn
- Megumi Toda as Carrot
- Jiro Saito as Inu/Dog
- Haruka Tomatsu as Winny
The story of a different incarnation of the famous Momotaro, it’s based on the manga by Coolkyoushinja and Johanne which began in 2015 as serialized in Shounen Magazine R and has eight volumes in print as of this month.
