“It Ain’t Enough”

What They Say:
After growing up in Tokyo, high school student Jin Kaito moves to Nagoya where he meets Yatogame Monaka, a fellow student who puts her Nagoya dialect on full display. With her cat-like appearance and unvarnished Nagoya dialect, Yatogame won’t open up to him at all. This popular local comedy is increasing the status of Nagoya through observation of the adorable Yatogame-chan!

The show has had its fun with Serura in the last few episodes to create some tension and problems. This episode delves into a different kind of problem as we get a few of the gang out having some food and there’s some comedy within the dialogue – a usual play on words – where Yatogame basically comes across as ordering a hit, which freaks out some of the others. Toshika has a struggle with that and ends up in a place where Mai is that’s focused on boy bands. Of course, the others end up rolling in right after that and it leads to a whole different set of misunderstandings – including some very disturbing moments involving far too much mayonnaise.

In Summary:
Honestly, I can’t handle but a sliver of the stuff and this episode really made me feel sick physically with what it was offering for its visuals. Everyone has their own thing but the mayo stuff just did me in. There’s some fun on regional food stuff here with condiments and the like and seeing some of them navigate it along with some other quirks makes for a few fun minutes.
