After growing up in Tokyo, high school student Jin Kaito moves to Nagoya where he meets Yatogame Monaka, a fellow student who puts her Nagoya dialect on full display. With her cat-like appearance and unvarnished Nagoya dialect, Yatogame won’t open up to him at all. This popular local comedy is increasing the status of Nagoya through observation of the adorable Yatogame-chan!

With an orientation day coming up and students coming to visit the school, the clubs are going to be checked out as well and this club needs to figure out how to present themselves. The gang put up a pretty good bit for the photography that they do and set up the club room nicely but it’s comical in that absolutely nobody showed up for the first few hours that they were open for potential new members. That leaves the gang more time to themselves than they should be allowed to have and the whole thing devolves into a big talk about food that gets them salivating in a big way. Which is not how you want to appear to potential new members coming to visit!
In Summary:
THe show is cute in how it operates in general and I love the food porn that we get with it. But I would have liked to have seen more interaction with the rest of the student body at large or just some new members potentially showing up from the next grade that’s making their way there. But we do get lots of silliness and it serves the show well enough.
