As we finish out this round of the challenge, and I’m writing it in the waning days of 2020 as opposed to here in whatever it is that 2021 looks like so far, we’re going to take one more look back into 2020 with our closing piece. A lot of friends of mine have taken the opportunity of 2020 with how it unfolded to reconnect with music in their life, especially if they were spending more time at home.
This came in a lot of ways, such as really digging into Spotify and discovering releases from favorite groups they had lost track of or discovering new groups that had a really great sound. We had a lot of really fantastic “at home” concert performances put on over the course of the year as a way for performers to connect with fans as well.
