The four-panel manga series Okashi na Sabaku no Suna to Manu is on track for an anime adaptation as a series of shorts. Scheduled for a February 13th, 2021 debut as part of the Otoitachi program, it’ll be directed by Yuiji Nagatani. Kachidoki Studio is handling the production for it. SARD UNDERGROUND is performing the theme song “Black Coffee” for it.
The Japanese cast includes Shouta Hayama as Suna and Ryota Iwasaki as Manu.
Plot Concept: The story focuses on the everyday life of the cats Suna and Manu, who live in a desert made of sugar instead of sand. (
