With the original film out in 2017 and bringing over $800 million at the box office and selling a whole lot of merch, Warner Bros. is back with the sequel Wonder Woman 1984. Originally scheduled for a June 5th, 2020 release date, Patty Jenkins is back to direct working from a screenplay she wrote with Geoff Johns and David Callaham.

The film has had a few different dates or attempted dates lined up over the year due to the pandemic and recently Warner Bros. has worked things out with AMC for theatrical release. The film will debut on December 25th, 2020 with the theaters getting a higher than normal percentage of the take (Warner getting 45% instead of 65% I believe). The twist, however, is that Warner has gotten AMC on board with them bringing the film out on HBO Max at on the same day at no extra charge for existing subscribers.

And with this coming up in just over a week, both Warner Bros. and HBO Max have started streaming the first three minutes of the film to entice you into wanting to see more. Check it out below!

The cast includes Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva / Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Kristoffer Polaha and Amr Waked.

Plot Concept: Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
