The quick hit comedy continues and brings us Io, who comes across as a kind of magical girl type character in how she’s presented here. We see how she shows off a bit with her powers turning some of her friends into cakes in the opening bit which is definitely amusing. And welcome before it transitions to the more “serious” storyline where we see Lancelot being tortured but the reality is something far different. It’s always fun when you see a character like him doing things above and beyond in a very comical way that just heightens the silliness of how much they lean on them.
In Summary:
The show also gives us a locked-room story with Lunalu trapped with a few of the knights where the signage says to not slam on the walls. It’s a bit of a mystery as to what will really happen but watching her panic and meltdown while everyone else remains largely calm definitely works, especially since it leans into Lancelot’s goofiness from earlier in the episode just right. It’s fluffy and stupid but here I am, chuckling at it.
