The winter 2019 anime adaptation of the Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga lead to the spring 2020 second season that wrapped up very well for fans. Now, with Funimation involved in working with Aniplex USA on the series, the first episode of the second season debuted in dubbed form on Saturday, July 25th, 2020. The first season is getting dubbed as well but that’ll come later as they want to strike while the iron is hot on the second season. And that also means getting some clips out to draw back in fans who can re-experience the show in a new way, or to get first-time viewers to check it out with a new clip. This one delves into the familiar realm of marriage proposals…

Mamoru Hatakeyama directed based on the series composition and supervision by Yasuhiro Nakanishi. Yuuko Yahiro worked on the character designs and A-1 Pictures was behind the animation production.

Plot Concept: Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy’s student council, making them the elite among elite. But it’s lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There’s just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss-they’re both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the ‘loser’ in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
