While Kenjiro Hata is most well known for Hayate the Combat Butler, he has a few other works out there as well. The series Fly Me to the Moon, aka Tonikaku Kawaii, was announced in March 2020 for an anime adaptation that will arrive as part of the fall 2020 season. Crunchyroll has now picked up the series under their Crunchyroll Originals banner and have set it for the fall under the name Tonikawa: Over the Moon For You. They’ve provided an updated key visual to the right and a new trailer below. When the show does arrive it’ll be available to audiences through their service in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Hiroshi Ikehata is directing the series based on the scripts overseen by Kazuho Hyodo. Masakatsu Sasaki is handling the character designs with Seven Arcs working on the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Akari Kitō as Tsukasa, and Junya Enoki as Nasa.

The series began back in February 2018 as serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Ten volumes are out as of March 2020. Viz Media picked up the rights to the manga with it coming out this fall.

Plot Concept: The comedy follows a boy named Nasa who meets a “generally cute” girl named Tsukasa on the day of his high school entrance exams, and immediately falls in love with her. Nasa confesses his feelings, but her response is that she will only go out with him if they get married. Years later, on Nasa’s 18th birthday, she suddenly appears to get married. Thus begins Nasa’s newlywed lifestyle.
