The spring 2020 anime adaptation of the novel Fugo Keiji as Fugō Keiji Balance: Unlimited got underway with an April 9th, 2020 premiere in Japan. With Funimation picking it up for streaming, it was localized as The Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED. The second episode hit and the production revealed that the series will be postponed indefinitely starting with episode three due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We learned recently that the series was now set for a summer 2020 plan with a July 16th debut set for it where it’ll begin from the first episode again in Japan. Plot Concept: The Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED follows detective Daisuke Kambe and partner Haru Kato as they work on cases at the Modern Crime Prevention Headquarters–where only people who’ve caused problems for the police end up.

Daisuke is a bit materialistic, using his vast wealth to solve crimes, becoming ever-detached to the human element of it all. Kato, on the other hand, believes money isn’t everything, and is repulsed by Daisuke’s lack of compassion. These two investigators will have to overcome their stark differences if they’re going to solve the mysteries ahead of them!
