2 min read

DC Comics is continuing on with their line of books aimed at the Young Adult audience for the graphic novel side and the next one to talk about is House of El. Set for a January 5th, 2021 debut, it comes from writer Claudia Gray and artist Eric Zawadzki. Dee Cunniffe is on board to color it. Gray’s done a number of novels over the years in the genre as well as working on some of the more acclaimed Star Wars novels.

This one goes back to look at Krypton through the eyes of a pair of teens before the end of everything and is planned as a three-volume series.

Plot Concept: Zahn is one of Krypton’s elites: wealthy, privileged, a future leader. Sera is one of Krypton’s soldiers: strong, dedicated, fearless. Their rule-bound society has ordained that their paths should never cross.

But groundquakes are shaking the planet’s surface. Rebellious uprisings are shaking the populace. Krypton’s top scientists—Jor-El and Lara—conduct a secret experiment that is meant to reform their planet from the cellular level up. Zahn and Sera must join forces to investigate the hidden dangers truly threatening Krypton. In the process, they form a bond that just might endure past the end of the world…
