New ‘Appare-Ranman!’ Anime Promo Arrives

Set in the late 19th century, APPARE-RANMAN! follows Sorano Appare and Isshiki Kosame, two Japanese characters that end up lost in America.

The 2020 anime series Appare-Ranman! from PA Works was picked up by Funimation already and some new updates have hit from Japan. The latest comes with a new promotional video that highlights the opening theme song to the series which sets the tone well going into it. The series was recently set for an April 10th, 2020 debut on Tokyo MX and others. Funimation will be producing both a simulcast and simuldub for it.

The series is directed by Masakazu Hashimoto, who worked on the series composition and is responsible for the original story. Yurie Oohigashi is on board for the character designs with P.A . Works handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Natsuki Hanae as Appare Sorano
  • Seiichirō Yamashita as Kosame Isshiki
  • Aoi Yūki as Hototo
  • Fumiko Orikasa as Sophia Taylor
  • Sōma Saitō as Al Leon
  • Sora Amamiya as Jin Xiaoleng
  • Kenjiro Tsuda as Richard Riesman
  • Tetsu Inada as Chase the Bad
  • Daisuke Ono as Gil T. Shiga

The series features the opening theme song “I got it!” by Mia REGINA while Showtaro Morikubo is handling the ending theme song.

Plot Concept: Set in the late 19th century, APPARE-RANMAN! follows Sorano Appare and Isshiki Kosame, two Japanese characters that end up lost in America. Without any money to their names, this socially-awkward engineer and cowardly samurai a trans-America race, which will earn them enough prize money to get back home. Along the way, this buddy racing adventure has the two facing criminals, rivals and all the Wild West has to throw at them as they venture from one end of America to the other in a steam-powered car of their own making.
