Originally serialized in Comic Bavel from the March 2020 installment, Secret Wife #4 is a twenty-four-page story from creator Syuuen, who has over a dozen other stories on the service as of this writing. I enjoyed a couple of their previous works so I had kept an eye out for more and this one just caught my eye with the previous installments. Though I had missed the first installment I got hooked on the second and kept going forward with it because there are so few serialized projects with hentai. With the nature of hentai manga, you never know when or if you’ll get more of an actual serialized story so when more landed I was all in to see more of what was going to happen to Miyuki and to see if she’s found a way out of her problem. This chapter, however, brings us to the end of the story.
This ending chapter is interesting but also kind of reaffirms certain hentai tropes in that there can be no end. Miyuki and Akito continue to be together as we see at the start as he’s returned home from his trip and the two are close. The intimacy between them is good and you can see she might define it as pleasant compared to what her filming material has been like. And you do get it that Akito isn’t able to please her in the same way, partially because she’s gone so far down the kink route that she needs to be filmed and doing more and more wild things. But she values the marriage and relationship and I do wonder if there’s an element to it where she can’t get pregnant by him and is using some of this as a way to make it happen without him knowing that. Unfortunately for the couple, she’s off on a trip – lying to Akito that it’s a high school reunion – so they’ve got just a day together before she’s gone.
The trip is actually one by the film production company where a group of lucky fans have won the opportunity to spend the weekend with her, with lots of things being filmed. That means lots of stuff before the big finish as she intends to retire at the end of all of this. The time on the bus is amusing as the fans realize just how lucky they are to get close to her and then it shifts to the weekend at the resort. There’s a fun sequence focusing on photos because these are rare with no mosaics, so she gets to be an exhibitionist while they get lots of great pictures the whole time. A longer period has a semi-orgy kind of sequence with her handling all of them before the lucky winner gets to have her in every way. That’s not a solo scene though as everyone else gets to watch and get involved in their own way, making it quite the kink scene overall. And throughout it, Miyuki is loving every minute of it all while thinking of her retirement that doesn’t stick since this is the life she didn’t know she craved.
In Summary
The final chapter of Secret Wife attempts to go all out but doesn’t quite stick the landing because of the confusing messaging about the retirement aspect of it. Beyond that, we get some nice time seeing Miyuki in her classic sense with her husband and then just a long montage piece really with her engaging in all sorts of acts with laughter and abandon as she savors it. There’s no shame to what she does here and she knows that as much as she enjoys it she’s providing joy to those engaged with her as well. It’s not something for everyone to be sure but Miyuki is wholly vested in this and has become something that she feels is right. I wish it had managed to work a better ending overall but endings are damn hard with hentai in general when it comes to longer-form storytelling so I wasn’t too surprised.
