With a theatrical release last year, we’ve seen North American distributor Sentai Filmworks pickup and release the Asagao to Kase-san OVA, also known as Kase-san and the Morning Glories. The work is now getting its streaming debut as HIDIVE has it going live today at 1:00 pm ET where it’ll be available in both subtitled and dubbed form. The dub is getting the added attention of a new clip which you can check out below before checking out the OVA – which we definitely recommend!

Check out our review of the OVA.

The Japanese cast includes Minami Takahashi playing Yui Yamada and Ayane Sakura as Tomoka Kase, Ibuki Kido as Mikawa, Minako Kotobuki as Inoue-sempai, Masumi Asano as Sensei, and Yumi Uchiyama as Coach.

David Wald is serving as the ADR director for it and the cast includes Morgan Berry as Kase, Bryn Apprill as Yamada, Apphia Yu as Mikawa, Shelley Calene-Black as Yamada’s Mother, Luci Christian as Teacher, Patricia Duran as Coach, Elissa Cuellar, Karlii Hoch, Ty Mahany, Melissa Molano, Holly Segarra, Avery Smithhart, Olivia Swasey, Cat Thomas, David Wald, and Sarah Wiedenheft.

The OVA saw a theatrical release on June 9th, 2018 in Japan.

Seven Seas brought out the first volume, Kase-san and Morning Glories, on February 28th, 2017 with at least one color insert page to it. It was priced at $13.99 USA / $15.99 CAN.

Plot concept: A relationship is like a garden. It’s hard, really hard, to plant the initial seeds. Once you’ve gone through the agonizing process of wondering if the other person even likes you, fought the fear that telling her could destroy everything, and made your confession, the most difficult part begins. Because you have to keep nurturing this wonderful new feeling to keep it growing. Not just in your own heart, but in hers. And since even the most beautiful rose can cut you to the bone with its thorns, who can you talk to for advice? Especially when you’re both girls in high school? For shy Yamada and boyish Kase, time is running out. High school is coming to an end and they must make a choice: stay together and let their love grow, or separate and let it die in KASE-SAN AND MORNING GLORIES.
