After getting a release back in 2013, the original series Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 has mostly had its re-releases done through the feature film trilogy. Bandai Visual is now hauling out the original classic once against as a new 43-episode box set is planned. Scheduled for a September 25th, 2020 release date, it’ll be priced at 23,000 yen and will include English subtitles with it.
It looks like it comes with a bonus Blu-ray disc with the digital archive booklet and the UC Chronicle special with a 44-minute running time total.
The series ran from 1979 into 1980 and started a long and generally healthy career for the franchise across numerous reinterpretations and spinoffs. The series was compiled into a group of three films which have largely been considered superior to the TV series by removing the fluff. The show was previously licensed and released in the US through the now-defunct Bandai Entertainment and has since been released by Nozomi Entertainment.
