The fall 2019 anime series Bananya and the Curious bunch has had its home video release side set with a planne April 2nd, 2020 debut. The release will contain the full run of the short-form series priced at 4,378 yen with more details to come.

The project is from TMS Entertainment and Gathering with Kyo Yatate directing it and working on the scripts. Jun Mita served as the animation director for it. Yuuki Kaji took on the titular role in it as well.

Plot Concept: There are still many mysterious creatures in this universe that we don’t know about. On a distant planet, one mysterious species has come into existence. They are known as “Bananyas.” What sort of planet do the Bananyas come from, and what sort of life do they lead? And what if they began to dream about coming to Earth someday?
