Starting as a browser game in 2016 and becoming a decent little multimedia project, Bungo to Alchemist is now making the leap to anime. An adaptation has been set for an April 2020 premiere as part of the spring season. The series has Toshinori Watanabe directing based on the scipts coming from Jun Kumagai. Atsuko Nakajima is working on the character designs with OLM handling the animation production.

Plot Concept: You are taken to a world where you can meet renowned Japanese writers of the past. Your task is to delve into tainted books to purify them, with parties composed of writers to fight the Taints, who have corroded the books. To gain writers, you must transmigrate them by delving into ensouled books or by meeting them while battling Taints in tainted books.
