When watching Legend of Legendary Heroes in its simulcast form, I had a heck of a hard time really connecting with it while also being intrigued by some of its ideas and designs. Revisiting it afterwards in the collected bilingual releases on DVD/BD that FUNimation put out, I was able to see how everything came together in a much stronger way (for most of it) which radically altered my opinion of it, which is why I enjoy revisiting shows that I may not have cared for in different forms.
As we’ve been doing recently, we’ve been pulling out some of the earliest clips from Funimation’s library and looking at shows we haven’t thought of in years and this one definitely came to mind as over the various re-releases it simply connected more and more.
