The fall 2019 anime adaptation of the manga Businessmen in Africa from Gamu is being brought out by Funimation as Africa Salaryman. With the show having a good chunk of its run out there, Funimation has added a new clip that once again proves that it’s all Toucan’s fault. The series is directed by Tetsuya Tatamitani who is also working as the chief animation director, art director, background artist, color designer, and director of photography. Yuichiro Momose is handling the scripts with Hotzipang working on the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Akio Ohtsuka as Lion, Kenjiro Tsuda as Lizard, Hiro Shimono as Toucan, Hina Kino as Sasshō Hamster, Akira Ishida as Company President Turtle, Yui Ogura as Gorimi, Eri Kitamura as Shishimura, Hiroshi Kamiya as Caracal, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Honey Badger, and Kengo Kawanishi as Honeyguide.

The manga began on Gene pixiv back in December 2014 and had a brief short produced for the Anime Beans app in the summer of 2017.

The series features the opening song “Soul Flag” by Hiro Shimono and the closing theme song “White-Collar Elegy” by Lion. Check ’em out below!

Plot Concept: The manga follows a lion, lizard, and toucan as they live the lives of office workers in a capitalist society in Japan, while also dealing with their unique situations as animals living beyond the savanna and the food chain.
