‘Re:Creators’ Manga Adaptation Ending

2 min read

The original anime series Re: Creators ran throughout 2017 on the Anime Strike service and hasn’t found a home video distribution partner yet, keeping it pretty much out of view for many. The show also had a manga launch when the anime got underway from Daiki Kae. The sixth volume is solicited by Shogakukan and they’re now listing it as the final volume, which is set to land on December 19th, 2019.

The project has Rei Hiroe set as the character designer for it and creating the original story as well as working on the screenplay for it. The project is set to be directed by Ei Aoki with TROYCA handling the animation. Makoto Kato is serving as the assistant director while Ryuichi Makino will be adapting Hiroe’s designs and serving as the chief animation director along with Jun Nakai.

The Japanese cast includes Daiki Yamashita as Souta Mizushino, Mikako Komatsu as Celesia Yupitilia, Inori Minase as Meteora Estarlich, Yoko Hikasa as Alicetelia Feblari, Rie Murakawa as Mamika Kouki, Kenichi Suzumura as Yuuya Mirokuji, Sora Amamiya as Rui Kanoya, Maaya Sakamoto as Shingan Chikujouin, Atsushi Ono as Blitz Torker and Aki Toyosaki as Princess with Solder Outfit.

Plot Concept: Humans have created many stories. Joy, sadness, anger, deep emotion. Stories shake our emotions, and fascinate us. However, these are only the thoughts of bystanders. But what if the characters in the story have “intentions”? To them, are we god-like existences for bringing their story into the world? Our world is changed. Mete out punishment upon the realm of the gods. In Re:CREATORS, everyone becomes a Creator.
