We learned last October that the Rifle is Beautiful manga will be getting an anime adaptation and some new updates hit this weekend about the show. The series has been given an October 13th, 2019 premiere on Tokyo MX while rolling out to a range of other broadcasters. Additionally, the opening and closing theme songs will be performed by the four main actresses with the songs titled “Let’s go! Rifling 4!!!!” and “Yūyake Friends.”

Masanori Takahashi is directing it based on the series composition by Tatsuya Takahashi. Ken Mukaigawara is handling the character designs while also serving as the chief animation director with production handled by Studio 3Hz.

The Japanese cast includes Machico as Hikari Kokura, Akane Kumada as Izimi Shibusawa, Saki Minami as Erika Meinohama, and Anna Yamaki as Yukio Igarashi.

The manga, a four-panel work, comes from creator Akki Sarumi. The series began in 2015 and has four volumes out as of the announcement.

Plot Concept: Kokura Hikari is a first-year high school girl who loves rifle shooting. She entered Chidori High School because it had a shooting club, but finds that the club had been disbanded. She had only one day to find enough members to reform the club, but luckily was able to find three other first-year girls who she had met at a competition in middle school.
