At the Television Critics Association event today, the FX day has moved right along and network head John Landgraf had some things to say when it comes to the Legion series that they’ve had to seasons for. They confirmed that the third season will arrive this summer and that it will also be the final season. He did clarify that this was the intent by creator Noah Hawley as he adapted from the ideas in the comics to create, in my mind, one of the most inventive and fascinating broadcast shows put to screen in how it operates. It’s the kind of work where even if the story itself doesn’t do much for you, what you see is a master class in creative design that causes you to realize just how bland and safe so many other shows are.

Suffice to say, we really recommend it.

The series stars Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, Rachel Keller, Bill Irwin, Jean Smart, and Jemaine Clement.

Plot Concept: David Haller, a troubled young man who is diagnosed as schizophrenic, but after a strange encounter, he discovers special powers that will change his life and the worlds forever.
