Shining Tears X WindBased on the game from SEGA, AsianCrush is now streaming the 2007 anime series Shining Tears X Wind through their Amazon channel. The series is available for Prime viewers as included in their membership while those without can buy standard definition episodes for 99 cents a pop or the full season in its original Japanese language with English subtitles for $9.99.

The show ran in the spring of 2007 and came from Studio Deen with direction by Hiroshi Watanabe and character designs by Yukiko Ban, who also served as the animation director. The series ran for thirteen episodes and Discotek Media brought out in November 2016 on DVD in its original Japanese language with English subtitles.

Not surprisingly, the streaming is limited to the US and Canada for users as that’s where Discotek Media’s license extends to.

Plot Concept: When one of their classmates disappears, the student council of St. Luminous Academy moves to investigate. Souma hopes the investigation will give him more time with Kureha, the beautiful object of his crush…but he gets his wish and more when a mysterious stranger drops them both into another world! In this rapidly dying land of monsters and magic, Souma discovers that he is a Soul Blader, a legendary knight who can draw magical swords from a person’s heart.

If he wants to use his newfound power to save End Earth, he’ll have to tend with scheming politicians, travel the world in search of allies…and maybe even fight his old friends!
