What do you get when you put together a former lawyer, pilot, and surgeon? You get the Dramatic Stars group. That’s the setup at the start here with the three guys we deal with and their frustration over what feels like a superhero group introduction. That, of course, inspires Teru to go all out in proper sentai mindset for how they should be idols. That, in turn, gets them to talk about what it means to be an idol and with a bit of help from the Beit group they talk about what it means to be just that. It’s all fairly boilerplate stuff in being everything that their fans want them to be but it’s just another piece of fluff when you get down to it.
In Summary:
While there are cute moments with the characters that do come fairly naturally here, it’s just another goofy look at young men looking to be idols and trying to figure out what it means to be that. We’ve seen it a billion times before and it’s just such standard aspirational stuff without any of the meat needed to it, even in a short-form comedy series that can handle it, that it feels even fluffier and more unimportant than usual.
