Sunrise revealed their next project back in April now that the Gundam Unicorn series is done and over with by returning to the UC timeline once again for fans. The new series, Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, focuses on the 0097 period and shows what happened to some of the kids that saw the colony drop in the original series and how it shaped their lives as the focus on the UC timeline continues. The official site has now brought out a new 30-second teaesr for the series and confirming a November 30th, 2018 debut for it in limited theatrical release in Japan.
Shunichi Yoshizawa is on board to direct based on the screenplay by Harukoshi Fukui. Kumiko Takahashi worked on the original character designs with Kim Satoshi adapting them for the screen. Hajime Katoki and Eiji Komatsu serve as the mechanical designers with Sunrise handling the animation production.
Three characters with no casting have been revealed with:
- Jonah Bashuta: 25 years old. The Earth Federation space army affiliation. The class is lieutenant. Pilot of Narrative Gundam sent as reinforcement of “Phoenix hunt” strategy. My childhood friend of Michelle and Rita. He has a past damaged in Australia during childhood.
- Michelle Ruo: 25 years old. Special Advisor to Luo Business. It is good fortune-teller in almost funeral law and gains tremendous trust from political and business affairs. I will board the clap-class Spacecruiser Damascus, which carries out the “Phoenix hunt” strategy, accompanied by a reinforcement narrative Gundam.
- Rita Bernal: The Earth Federation space army affiliation. The class is lieutenant. Unicorn Gundam Unit 3 Unknown Unknown Pilot of Fennex. He has suffered in Australia during the girls’ age and has a past called a miracle kids.
