The winter 2018 anime series Kokkoku is getting its home video release handled by DMM Pictures and they’ve taken a surprising approach to it. While we’re just over a month away from the release, we now have our look at what the artwork should be for it and it’s definitely distinctive. The twelve episode series is getting a single Blu-ray box set that’s priced at 15,000 yen that will land on May 25th, 2018. The set is listed to be five discs with one of them being a soundtrack. It’ll come with a booklet while on disc extras include the clean opening and closing as well as promotional videos.

The show will be directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi with Noboru Kimura working on the series composition. Yasuomi Umetsu is on board with the original characters designs with Masaki Hinata adapting them for the show.

The Japanese cast includes Chika Anzai as Juri Yukawa, Asami Seto as Shōko Majima, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Old Man, Hozumi Gōda as Junji Sagawa, Kouji Tsujitani as Takafumi Yukawa, Hirofumi Nojima as Tsubasa Yukawa, Ryūto Iwata as Makoto Yukawa, Yuya Uchida as Shiomi,  and Hiroyuki Yoshino as Sako.

The manga from Seita Horio ran from 2008 to 2014 with eight volumes and just had its first volume released digitally by Kodansha Comics in English.

Plot Concept: In order to save her brother and nephew who have been kidnapped by a mysterious religious group known as the Genuine Love Society, Juri and her family cast a spell using a stone hidden by her grandfather to enter the world of stopped time known as Stasis. However, when they infiltrate the kidnapper’s base, they’re met by other people who can also move about freely. With grotesque creatures lurking about, will they be able to escape the parallel world and return to their normal lives?!
