‘Sword Art Online II’ Anime Dub Gets Hulu Distribution

With Hulu getting a bit more attention with some of their original projects these days there’s more opportunity for anime distros to get their properties in front of some new viewers. Aniplex USA has brought a new title to the service this month with the addition of the dubbed version of Sword Art Online II. With the theatrical movie released recently and a third series along with a spinoff series in the works for later this year, it’s definitely a good time to reconnect with the property or to introduce it to potential new viewers.

Plot Concept: A year has passed since SAO was cleared. Summoned by Seijirou Kikuoka of the Virtual Division at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Kazuto (Kirito) learns of a series of bizarre murders linked to the popular VR game, Gun Gale Online (GGO). After being shot in-game by a player calling himself Death Gun, two prominent GGO players have mysteriously turned up dead in the real world. As Kazuto logs into GGO and starts investigating the mystery, he meets a girl sniper named Sinon wA year has passed since SAO was cleared.
