New ‘Devilman Crybaby’ Anime Promo Spot Surfaces

We’re closing in on the January 5th, 2018 debut of the Devilman: crybaby anime series that Netflix is involved in. Netflix Japan now has a new quick hit promotional spot for the ten-episode series where the episodes clocking in at 25-minutes and it definitely gives us a good sample of the animation and intensity, especially with the music used for it.

The series stars Kouki Uchiyama as Akira Fudou while Ayumu Murase will play Ryou Asuka in the leads and it also inclkudes Megumi Han as Miki Makimura, Ami Koshimizu as Miko, Atsuko Tanaka as Sirene, Rikiya Koyama as Kaim, Kenjirou Tsuda as Nagasaki, KEN THE 390 as Wamu, Subaru Kimura as Gabi, Young Dais as Kukun, Hannya as Babo, and Afra as Hie.

With it being a worldwide release it’s one that has been revealed previously will be available on launch in 190 countries/territories with nine languages to choose from – plus twenty-five subtitle languages to choose from.

Masaaki Yuasa is directing it based on the script by Ichiro Okouchi. Science SARU is animating it and Dynamic Planning is working with Aniplex Japan to bring all of this about.

Plot Concept: Akira Fudo is informed by his best friend Ryou Asuka that the demons will revive and reclaim the world from the humans. As the humans do not stand a chance against the supernatural power of the demons, Ryou suggests fusing with a demon. Akira becomes Devilman, with the power of a demon and the heart of a human.
