The crazy cast of characters that makes up the two season series of Sengoku Basara has found a new place to invade as it’s now streaming on Crunchyroll thanks to the partnership with Funimation. The show is in its original Japanese language with English subtitles while the dub remains on Funimation’s site. Being a somewhat older license that has its rights split to various locales around the world the availability is limited to viewers in the United States and Canada only.

The series was animated by Telecom Animation Film, which has an extensive list of credits to their name but also worked as the in-between animation team for Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings.

Plot concept: Get ready for the hacking, slashing battle of a lifetime in a new adaptation of the legendarily violent Sengoku Basara franchise. Based on the best-selling video games, the new installment of this action-packed anime revolves around one massive battle featuring mechanized samurai, mystical ninja, gun-toting warriors, and a blinding array of deadly special moves!”
