The news arrived this past summer that the light novel series Ryuuou no Oshigoto! was getting an anime adaptation and we’ve gotten some solid details for it over the last few months. The series is set for a January 9th, 2018 debut and has now added Mizuki Ichirou as Takashi Hinatsuru and Mitsuko Horie as Akina Hinatsuru to the cast. It will be directed by Shinsuke Yanagi with Project No. 9 handling the animation production. Now it’s revealed that Fumihiko Shimo will be handling the series composition with Akane Yano on character designs. Yuma Uchida as Yaichi Kusuryu

Machico will perform the opening theme “Kore kara” while Miku Itou will perform the ending theme with “Mamoritai Mono no Tame ni.”
Plot Concept: The story is about a teenage boy who happens to be a shogi master. One day, a nine-year-old girl turns up at his house, announcing that she will take him as her disciple. From there, all kinds of wacky hijinks ensue.
