The latest rankings in sales for manga and light novels have arrived and it’s a decent week overall with some interesting titles. One Piece takes the top spot in its second week where it adds another 396,000 units to bring it to just over 1.9 million as that powerhouse continues – though it leaves me curious as to what the digital manga side sales are for it. Once past that most of the week is a mix of second-week releases like My Hero Academia and Seraph of the End adding some good numbers to it while we also get some new volumes landing, such as Arslan Senki with 162,000 units. We also get Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa arriving in the top ten for the first time which is definitely welcome to see some fresh blood in the mix.
On the light novel side it’s all about Accel World topping with its latest volume but Strike the Blood is pretty close comparatively speaking in second. This season hasn’t offered up a mass buying of light novels from any particular show so there’s nothing standing out in a big way here overall.
