With much anticipation, BBC revealed the 13th Doctor today for Doctor Who with Peter Capaldi retiring from the role soon. The new actor taking on the iconic role is that of Jodie Whittaker, a well known English actress that has had solid roles in works from Broadchurch to St. Trinian’s as well as Black Mirror. This marks the first time that a woman has taken on the role of the Doctor and was something that many thought wouldn’t happen anytime soon even with the pressure being put on to bring something new to the franchise.
With her being my favorite actress in Broadchurch, this makes me quite intrigued.
