We’ve got awhile to go until the debut of Star Wars: The Last Jedi but there’s going to be a lot of promotional material seeded into the next several months. Similar to what was done ahead of The Force Awakens, Disney brought out a three-minute behind the scenes piece from the D23 Expo this weekend. It’s one that shows a lot of neat things about the production being put together, some shots from the film in various stages, and a look at numerous new creatures and actors involved in the project. It has some great little moments that will impact people differently and I’m beyond excited to see what Rian Johnson will be bringing to the screen with it.
The cast is confirmed with Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. New cast members will include Academy Award® winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award® nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.
The film is being directed by Rian Johnson, who also worked on the screenplay for it. It’s scheduled for a December 15th, 2017 release.
