Late last year we saw that the Satoshi Kon film Perfect Blue was getting new German and Spanish region releases and then in January we got the word that Siren Visual was looking to bring it out for Australian fans as well. It’s been quiet since then but now the Gryphon Entertainment distribution site is now listing an August 17th, 2016 release date for the film. The listing indicates that the extras include the Japanese and US trailers as well as interviews with Ruby Marlow, Wendee Lee, Junko Iwao and Satoshi Kon. A commentary track is also included.
Distributors Alive and Selecta are bringing out the film this year in their respective territories with a July 1st German release and had a February 10th Spanish release.
The title was previously released by Manga Entertainment in the UK and in North America but it’s been out of print for a few years and no Blu-ray release has been offered outside of Asia until Anime Limited brought it out in the UK back in 2013.
