First ‘Ajin: Demi-Human – Crash’ Anime Teaser Arrives

Ajin Film VisualWith the second film of the trilogy with Ajin: Demi-HumanCollision having arrived earlier this month on May 6th, 2016 in theaters, events are now starting to focus on the third film in the series. King Records has now debuted the first teaser for Ajin: Demi-Human – Crash, which will arrive on September 23rd, 2016, bringing the trilogy to a close.

The film is being directed by Hiroyuki Seshita as the general director while Hiroaki Ando is serving as the main director, working off of the script by Hiroshi Seko. Yuki Moriyama is on board as the character designer for it while Polygon Pictures is handling the animation production and TOHO will be distributing it.

The cast announced so far includes Mamoru Miyano as Kei Nagai, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kaito, Houchu Ohtsuka as Satō, Takahiro Sakurai as Tosaki, Mikako Komatsu as Izumi Shimomura, Daisuke Hirakawa as Kōji Tanaka, Aya Suzaki as Eriko Nagai, Hiroyuki Kinoshita as Ikuya Ogura and Jun Fukuyama as Kou Nakano.

The manga has been doing well in Japan since it launched in 2012 and it’s gotten some solid acclaim here since Vertical began publishing it. Crunchyroll is handling the digital presentation of the series, making it available to a large number of fans.

Plot concept: High school student Kei Nagai is struck dead in a grizzly traffic accident, but immediately revives to learn that he may not be like every other human. Instead, he may be a mysterious almost immortal being granted not only the powers of rejuvination but the abilities to see super-natural beings. Scared, he runs away, and is aided in his escape from society by his friend. Unfortunately for Kei, the manhunt is on and he will soon be caught within a conflict between mankind and others like him as they prepare to fight a new war based on terror.
