The second season of this property was recently named with My Wife is the Student Council President! a + added to the end of it and we got the nice new visual as well. Now things are taking a bit more shape as the tenth volume of the manga is landing in July and a promo piece of artwork for it has landed that reveals that the second anime season is being slotted for a fall 2016 debut.
The first season of the series was directed by Hiroyuki Furukawa and it starred Ayana Taketatsu as Ui Wakana, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Hayato Izumi, Minami Tsuda as Rin Misumi, Aoi Fujimoto as Ayane Niikura, Yue Sugiyama as Karen Fujisaki, Juri Nagatsuma as Mato Saruwatari and Tomoko Kaneda as Misato Wakana. It was animated at studio Seven.
Nakata’s prior work of Chu-Bra previously saw an anime adaptation several years ago. Neither work has been picked up for North American home video distribution.
Plot Concept: The story begins with Izumi Hayato running to be student body president. But when a beautiful girl swings in promising the liberalization of love while flinging condoms into the audience, he ends up losing to her and becoming the vice president. At the student council meeting, the newly-elected president invites herself over to Izumi’s house, where she promptly announces she is to become Izumi’s wife thanks to an agreement – facilitated by alcohol – made between their parents when they were only 3.
