Yen Press Acquires ‘Goblin Slayer’ Light Novel & Manga License

Goblin Slayer PromoYen Press is having some solid sales with their light novel line as they do keep adding new books, which we expect to increase a bit now that thing are moving along with the recent investment by Kadokawa in them. The publisher has now revealed their latest acquisition with the light novel series Goblin Slayer, which come from Kumo Kagyu. The series began this past February with artwork from Noboru Kannatsuki that has a second volume out this past weekend. Additionally, they’ve picked up the manga adaptation of it that kicks off on May 25th in Japan from Kosuke Kurose which they’ll be doing a simulpub on. The first light novel is being slotted for a December 2016 debut from Yen Press.

Plot concept: The series centers on a man who desires to become an “adventurer” whose motto is: “I won’t save the world, I just kill goblins.” After hearing rumors about him, a female elf approaches him with a request.
