Warner Bros. is definitely looking to get a little more brand/tentpole oriented in the coming years and while the DC Comics side of the business will be strong they’re also taking us back to the Harry Potter world. While we had a teaser before that gave us some clues as to what’s coming, they’ve now released the first main teaser trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them and it looks like it’ll be a delicious ride.
Directed by David Yates, the film is set for release on November 18th, 2016. It stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrel, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Ron Pearlman, Samantha Morton, Jenny Murray, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Carmen Ejogo and Alison Sudol.
Plot concept: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
