Mahou Shoujo Nante Moiidesukara Episode 6It’s good to tell the truth.

What They Say:
The story follows Yuzuka Hanami, a young girl who has few friends but who can do anything. One day, Yuzuka gets accosted by a strange creature named Miton who is digging through a trash dump. Miton tells Yuzuka, “you have the makings of a magical girl” and seems extremely suspicious. When Yuzuka is suddenly transformed into a magical girl, she’s wearing a bathing suit

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
With some good and plain silly setup material recently, life has fallen into routine for Yuzuka now that Miton is in her life. It’s not like she’s facing ultimate evil or anything as a magical girl, but she has to keep secrets from her parents over what she is. Miton make sit clear early on here in a rather grim way as to the extent he has to go to in order to manipulate memories and it’s disturbingly silly overall. Yuzuka, for her part, does offer up enough temptation to Miton to make it worth his while not to do this to them as food is the best way to get what you want out of him. The fun is in watching Yuzuka trying to tell her parents about Miton, making it more a pet of sorts than anything else with a hilarious reveal that includes her transformation. It’s just kind of silly and I love her father’s reaction before Miton just messes with him.

In Summary:
The series deals with the parents issue in a pretty good way here with everyone kind of getting what they want out of it in their own way. Yuzuka and Miton’s time together in her room is pretty amusing in how they both work to manipulate the other and I really liked how it came down to her father’s reaction in the latter aspect. He just hits the right note and you can imagine his mind running through any range of things once she starts her transformation sequence. The show continues to be light and silly fun that’s very well animated but it still lacks anything meaty to make it memorable in the long run.
