If you’re still riding high on The Force Awakens, you’ll want to get caught up on Star Wars Rebels. Especially if they do follow through at some point with the connective nature of things and some of these characters, or their progeny, make appearances in the new films. The official Star Wars channel has released a new three minute promo for the second half of the second season that kicks off next week and this gives us some great looking material with the Inquisitors, some time with Princess Leia, a little Yoda time, and another push from Darth Vader. And could that be Snoke hidden in the shadows here?
The series stars Freddie Prinze, Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall. The second season got underway on October 14th, 2015.
Plot concept: Set five years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and fourteen years after the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Council in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the series follows a motley group of rebels (all of whom have been affected by the Galactic Empire in one form or another) that band together aboard a freighter starship called the Ghost. The series will also focus on the origins of some of the groups that will form the Rebel Alliance.
