The Macross Delta preview hit with the New Year’s Eve showing that it just had and now a few details have surfaced regarding the upcoming TV series for it. While we’re still short on an official cast list for it outside of Minori Suzuki, who won the talent audition for the lead singer position role of Freyja Wion in the series, we now know that the series will make its full premiere in the spring. Not that it’ll see a simulcast unless something radical has changed behind the scenes in terms of licenses and various disputes.
In terms of cast, one was included in the episode (as it’s the first episode of the series), but it was done with a code. That’s been deciphered (via Crunchyroll) and has revealed the cast with:

Also revealed is that the composers for the soundtrack, always a key feature of the franchise, is being handled by Saeko Suzuki, TOMISIRO, and Mina Kubota. The first two worked on Lagrange while Kubot has a number of projects to her name, including Kaleido Star and A Letter to Momo.
The show is being directed by Shoji Kawamori while Kenji Yasuda is serving as the hands-on director. Toshizou Nemoto is handling the series compositions and scripts while Majiro and yuu Shindou are handling the character designs adapted from the original work done by Chisato Mita. Satelight is animating the series.
Plot concept: Macross Δ (Macross Delta) is set eight years after the events of Macross F.
