Yen Press has been busy with announcements and acquisitions amid cover updates for upcoming works and there’re some pretty sweet books that are on the way. The publisher has announced the acquisition of The Asterisk War manga and light novel with plans for a summer 2016 release. The light novel series is at nine volumes so far while the manga has made it to three volumes. They’ve also added the Re:Zero manga and light novel series, which has seven light novels so far and several offshoot manga series. This is also looking at a summer 2016 release.

Finally, they also picked up the rights to the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria spinoff novel from the original creator which is up to five volumes. No date beyond 2016 was discussed for this book.

In the center of the meteor’s crater lies Rikka, a system of six academies known as the Asterisk. Ayato Amagiri enters the Asterisk as a transfer student hoping to compete in a special battle event known as the Festa. However, he quickly finds himself on the bad side of one of the strongest fighters around—the beautiful but fiery Julis-Alexa von Riessfeld. To stand against her he’ll have to rely on his own sword-wielding ability, but when the tables turn, will they be able to team up to take down the competition?
