Neill Blomkamp Seeks ‘The Gone World’ As Next Project

1 min read

Neill BlomkampWith Neill Blomkamp’s Alien project now sidelined for the time being, Fox is looking for another project for him and there’s one that looks to be lining up very well for his tastes. The studio has gained the rights to The Gone World, which is an upcoming book from writer Thomas Sweterlitsch. The book doesn’t even have a solicitation yet, though you know his agent is certainly getting it out there. Blomkamp is being courted to write and direct it with Fox and Chernin Entertainment. There’s little known about the book other than that it’s a science fiction time travel procedural story.

Sweterlitsch’s previous work, Tomorrow and Tomorrow, has been picked up by TriStar for an adaptation already as well.

Blomkamp made his debut several years ago with District 9 and followed that up with Elysium and Chappie.
