Anime Limited’s acquisitions from the MCM Comic Con London have a pretty intriguing series for fans to check out next year as they’ve announced the pickup of Selector Infected WIXOSS. The show has a second season under Selector Spread WIXOSS and a new theatrical feature as well, but Anime Limited is only talking about the first season at the moment, though we expect the second is a given. With their focus on theatrical acquisitions it also makes sense that they’re likely looking at that as well.
FUNimation has picked up and released this first cour of the series in North America.
The series is animated by JC Staff is bringing with Takuya Sato directing based on scripts by Mari Okada and character designs by Kyuta Sakai. There’s a couple of hands from Steins; Gate in here and you can definitely see a touch of influence there.
Plot concept: In the popular game WIXOSS, there are special cards called LRIGs—cards that possess wills of their own. Ruko is a teenage girl who just found one of these rare cards. If she wins with her LRIG, her wishes will be granted—but what happens if she loses?
