One of my more anticipated movies that’s out next year is that of Suicide Squad. Having been hooked on the original comic series years ago by a friend, I got seriously into the book from John Ostrander and have enjoyed its various incarnations over the years, including a trimmed down version in the Arrow TV series. For those that are unfamiliar with most of these characters though, DC Comics has put together a great six minute breakdown of the trailer in that it delves into the cast, their origins and some of the differences between them. It’s a great introduction to the cast of characters – most of which we don’t expect to survive the film.
Announced for an August 5th, 2016 release, Suicide Squad is being helmed by Fury director David Ayer. The film is set to star Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, someone as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Plot concept: A group of supervillains are brought together to tackle high-risk black ops missions for the government.
