Second ‘Mikagura School Suite’ Anime Japanese DVD/BD Packaging Revealed

Mikagura School SuiteWith the series having finished as part of the spring 2015 anime season, Media Factory previously laid out the home video release plans for Mikagura School Suite. Now that the second volume is close to releasing, they’ve finally brought out a look at the cover artwork and the packaging as a whole. This release is scheduled for a July 24th, 2015 release. The show is getting a standard six volume release that began on June 24th, 2015 where the Blu-ray releases are priced at 5,000 yen each and the DVDs at 4,500 yen, which is lower than we usually see. The releases have a breakdown of what to expect throughout with:

Volume 1: First press materials include a booklet and a character CD with 3 songs on it along with four eye-catch cards. On disc extras include an audio commentary and the clean opening.

Volume 2: First press materials include a booklet and a character CD with 2 songs on it along with four eye-catch cards. On disc extras include an audio commentary and the clean ending.

Volume 3: First press materials include a booklet and a character CD with 3 songs on it along with four eye-catch cards. On disc extras include an audio commentary and the promotional video.

Volume 4: First press materials include a booklet and a character CD with 3 songs on it along with four eye-catch cards. On disc extras include an audio commentary.

Volume 5: First press materials include a booklet and a character CD with 4 songs on it along with four eye-catch cards. On disc extras include an audio commentary.

Volume 6: First press materials include a booklet and a character CD with 5 songs on it along with four eye-catch cards. The On disc extras include an audio commentary.

Last Note may not be well known to anime fans in general, but he’s a composer that has worked on a number of Vocaloid songs and ended up creating this series based on them, which has also seen a manga adaptation by Sayuki. Five volumes are out of the light novel series while three volumes of the manga have been released so far.

The cast includes Juri Kimura as Eruna Ichinomiya, Saori Onishi as Seisa Mikagura, Ari Ozawa as Otone Fujishiro, Ayaka Suwa as Himi Yasaka, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shigure Ninomiya, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Bimii, Natsuki Hanae as Yūto Akama, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kyoma Kuzuryu, Makoto Furukawa as Sadamatsu Minatogawa, Ai Kakuma as Asuhi Imizu, Reina Ueda as Meika Katai, Ai Kayano as Kurumi Narumi and Asuka Nishi as Yuriko.

The anime adaptation is directed by Tarou Iwasaki and it was animated at Dogakobo. Masahiro Yokotani wrote the scripts and served as supervisor while Mamani Amazaki performed double duty as character designer and chief animation director.

Plot concept: The story of the original light novels and manga revolves around high school girl Eruna Ichinomiya, who enters the Mikagura Academy dreaming of a boarding school life filled with beauty. However, Eruna finds out that in the culture clubs, there is a rule that battles that are fought with special powers decide a club representative’s treatment. Through various circumstances, Eruna becomes a representative of a club, and is thrown into the fray.
