Yen Press’ panel at Anime Expo at the tail end of the convention netted them a lot of announcements, ones we thought they might have held for the SDCC venue this week. The publisher has been on a strong upswing this past year with acquisitions and sales with many of their titles charting quite regularly. The latest round from the Yen On novel side are pretty strong as they’ve picked up the Baccano! noveles as well as the series for My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, which will tie well to the anime being released domestically by Sentai Filmworks. They also picked up the sequel novel for Another: Episode S, which was largely expected to happen at some point.
In addition to that, they picked up several manga licenses with a number of them being digital only for the moment, though strong sales there could prompt a print release later on as well.
